Re-evaluations
  • MVC Re-evaluation #2 - September 2009

    • Provide frontage roads from Old Bingham Highway (10200 South) to South Hills Boulevard (16000 South).

    • Improve trail and bicycle connections with other existing and proposed trails.​

  • MVC Re-evaluation #3 - January 2010

    • Closure of Wells Park Road (eliminate the bridges and cul-de-sac the road at MVC).

    • Connection to 11800 South revised to provide improved traffic flow.

    • Rose Creek crossing changed from under to over.

    • Trail realignment of the South Barney's Creek Trail in West Jordan (just outside the ROW in the relocated utility corridor).

    • Intersection re-alignment at 9000 South and New Bingham Highway.

    • Realignment of MVC crossing over the Kennecott Railroad. Originally located at about 7000 South on an angle. Realigned to the west so as to cross the railroad in a straight line.

    • New Bingham Highway cul-de-sac at MVC.​

  • MVC Re-evaluation #4 - June 2010

    • An additional access point from the northbound frontage road for JVWCD.

    • Additional ROW to preserve future utility corridor between 12600 South and 13400 South.

    • Intersection improvement at 11800 South and Vadania Drive (full intersection with left turns).

    • Roadway widening and trail extension at 11800 South.​

  • 4100 South to SR-201 Design Changes - January 2018

    • ​Maintain the westbound SR-201 off ramp and eliminate the southbound MVC to eastbound SR-201 loop ramp. Realignment of the existing eastbound on ramp and the SR-201 frontage road east of 5600 West.

    • Realignment and widening of the existing SR-201 frontage road east of 5600 West.

    • Addition of a westbound auxiliary lane between 5600 West and Bangerter Highway on SR-201. Additional ramp length for the MVC eastbound ramp to SR-201.

    • Widening 3500 South between MVC and 6000 West from a three-lane section to a seven-lane section, including turn lanes at the intersections.

    • Widening 2700 South between 5700 West and 5900 West on either side of MVC from a two-lane section to a five-lane section with turn lanes.

    • Widening California Avenue from  a two-lane to a five-lane section for about 0.25 mile west of MVC and 0.25 mile east of 5600 West.

    • Widening 5600 West from a two- to three-lane section to a four- to five-lane section from about 0.25 mile south of California Avenue to about  0.25 mile north of 1100 South.

    • Cul-de-sac of Legacy  View Street and a new connection to 5600 West at 1100 South.

    • Shared-use path improvements including grade separation at roadway crossings, a trail spur, and a trail parking lot for access.

    • Two-mile extension of the shared-use path beyond 2700 South. New terminus would be California Avenue.

    • Additional improvements to drainage facilities.

  • SR-201 Design Changes - April 2019
    • Realignment of SR-201 eastbound and westbound MVC ramps.

    • Retain SR-201 eastbound on and off ramps at 5600 West in existing locations.

    • Realignment of MVC directional ramps to accommodate shifts in alignment of SR-201 eastbound and westbound ramps.​

  • 5600 West Transit Re-evaluation - April 2019

    • Implementing Express Bus service instead of bus rapid transit (BRT) in Phase 1. Express Bus service along the existing 5600 West and North Temple roadway travel lanes from the Old Bingham Highway TRAX station to downtown Salt Lake City.​

  • Cilma Drive Design Changes - May 2019

    • Cilma Drive cross street treatment - raising Cilma Drive and lowering outer two general purpose lanes of mainline MVC and associated ramps.

    • Final north and southbound lanes and grade separations at Cilma Drive - lowering middle of mainline MVC and constructing grade separations at cross street.​
